Meet Dr. Daniel Charlton, DDS

Dr. Daniel Charlton is a general dentist at Del Mar View Dental Care with clinical experience spanning preventive and restorative care, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, clear aligners and dental implants. Dr. Charlton earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with honors in 1988. He practices general dentistry with an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and implant care.

His continuing education has included temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontal surgery and laser dentistry. This broad training supports comprehensive treatment planning while helping patients understand when focused or coordinated care may be appropriate.

Dr. Charlton places and restores dental implants, using both freehand and surgical-guide approaches when clinically appropriate. According to practice-provided figures, he has participated in more than 1,000 implant cases. Every patient is evaluated individually to determine whether implant treatment fits their oral health, anatomy and goals.

Dr. Charlton provides straight-wire orthodontics and clear-aligner treatment and is Invisalign certified. Practice-provided experience figures include approximately 100 straight-wire orthodontic cases and 250 Invisalign cases. Treatment recommendations depend on an in-person examination and the complexity of each case.

Del Mar View Dental Care uses digital X-rays, 3D imaging/CBCT, intraoral cameras, CAD/CAM chairside milling, laser dentistry and electronic health records.
